Outsourcing in IT seemed to find itself in dead corner – foreign IT consultancies has firmly possessed western IT market and all the benefits of outsourcing – low cost, time zones difference and even skilled and not so much spoiled talent has been forgotten. Since the beginning of the outsourcing era in 90’s up until year of 2008 situation has no chances to get changed… One should ask himself – what changes will take place in today’s IT outsourcing world? Will outsourcing became what it supposed to be from the beginning? Will we be able to get involved with remote IT solutions providers and quit paying more?
You may say – well how about language and even mentality difference? According to my colleagues recent research 82% of offshore IT companies has had business relations with western businesses and as well have English speaking personnel on staff.
Yes, there is certain degree of risk as well as there is certain difficulty that has to be expected -perhaps you will even have to fly to Ukraine or India couple of times. And still, keeping all that in mind let’s face it – company that is willing to keep on going and which is ready to use the chance to get ahead it’s competitors while they try to pay the growing bills should be buying tickets and meeting potential IT vendors as it will bring not just solid 30-70% funds economy but will also let us see the real face of IT outsourcing with it’s talented and professional people.
